Students in Morris Plains celebrated the holiday season by sharing treats with soldiers. The “Treats for Troops” campaign was sponsored by the Morris Plains Education Association, who donated the boxes and shipping costs. Families were asked to send in packaged goodies for troops. Personal care items and games were also donated. Many of the students made cards and wrote letters of support and encouragement as well. The generosity of the community led to over 200 pounds of surprises packed into 15 cartons and shipped out. This simple act of kindness touched many hearts.
