Treats for Troops Update

March 11, 2018

In December, students in Morris Plains celebrated the holiday season by sharing treats with soldiers. The “Treats for Troops” campaign was sponsored by the Morris Plains Education Association, who donated the boxes and shipping costs.  Families were asked to send in packaged goodies, personal care items, and games for troops.  Many of the students made cards and wrote letters of support and encouragement as well. The generosity of the community led to over 200 pounds of donations. Miss Prisco’s brother-in-law and his team were some of the recipients of the care packages and Miss Prisco shared this photo of them thanking the community.  The MPEA would like to thank Miss Prisco’s brother-in-law, his team, and all of the men and women in the armed forces for their service.

MPEA Volleyball Fundraiser

April 11, 2017

The annual MPEA Volleyball Fundraiser was held on March 10th and it was a huge success! Due to generous donations from the MPEA and local businesses and the support of students and their families in the community, we raised over $5000 for scholarships.  The door prizes and part of the snack bar were generously paid for by a NJEA PRIDE grant.  Thank you to everyone who came out to support the event.  We are proud to be a part of such a caring and generous community!

MPEA Volleyball Fundraiser and Basket Raffle

March 6, 2017

It’s time for our annual MPEA Volleyball and Basket Raffle Fundraiser!  Each year, the MPEA hosts a volleyball fundraiser where the staff play the eighth grade students.  During the event, we raffle off various prize baskets which have been donated by  MPEA members and the community to raise additional funds.  The proceeds from the event/raffle raise money for a scholarship fund to benefit Borough School graduates who are currently seniors at Morristown High School.  Our goal is toVolleyball pic
continue to support our former students as they venture into the next stage of their learning journey.   We truly believe that by supporting students in our community, it will not only help the recipient of the scholarship, but will help Morris Plains as a whole.  This year, the event will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 in the Borough School gymnasium.  The doors open at 6:30pm and the volleyball games will begin at 7:30pm.  Please come out and support us!!
